The House of Vans is a Brooklyn skate spot sponsored by the shoe brand that tends to serve as host for a rotating roster of top-grade professional skateboarders. Latest to grace the concrete stage in BK was a slew of fans of the late great Andy Kessler, one of the original members of the Zoo York crew and a prolific skater who died from complications involved with a wasp sting in 2009. Declared “Andy Kessler Day,” Vans encouraged guests to tear up their ramps and bowls in honor of Mr. Kessler. Looks like a good time was had by all
