Moneyed fans of Björk rejoice – the Ultimate Edition Boxset has arrived. Among the most beautiful and well-designed boxsets ever created, this strictly limited-edition, lacquered and silkscreened oak hinged lid case comes with the full Biophilia Manual as well as 10 chrome-plated tuning forks, silkscreened on one face in 10 different colors, stamped at the back, and presented in a flocked tray. Furthermore, each fork is adjusted to the tone of each of the tracks from Biophiia and covers a complete octave in a non-conventional scale. This ridiculously creative set’s Biophilia Manual isn’t too shabby either. Weighing in at 242 x 186 mm and 48 pages, this hardbound, clothed-covered and thread-sewn book is tipped on a lenticular panel to the front cover. Finished off with 2 audio CDs including the Biophila album and additional exclusive recordings as well as a selection of essays, the boxset is comprehensive to say the least. Designed by M/M (Paris), the full collection is going to run custom-orderers £500.00 GBP (approximately $812 USD) and is available exclusively through Björk’s online store. Orders must be collected by August 12.

Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5 Encore

Nearly three years since the release of their BeoSound 5 system, Bang & Olufsen are following up with the all-new BeoSound 5 Encore. With a price tag of $3,350 (making it more affordable than its predecessor), the device maintains the 10.4-inch LCD/scroll wheel controller while losing the need for a music server by running headless with a slew of connectivity options that include USB storage, NAS and A2DP Bluetooth adaptability and the choice of more than 13,000 internet radio stations. There’s still time to save up for the device, however, as it isn’t due out for release until August.

Björk – Crystalline (Directed by Michel Gondry)

After providing plenty of information on her upcoming multimedia offering Biophilia, Björk unleashes the official video for the album’s lead single “Crystalline.” Close friend and frequent collaborator Michel Gondry directed the hallucinogenic visual which displays a collage of crystals and laser beams growing from the surface of a strange planet while the Icelandic singer is at the center of all things. Björk’s new album Biophilia arrives September 27 on Nonesuch/One Little Indian. Watch it below!

Japanese contemporaries uniform experiment unveil a new collaborative project produced in conjunction with storied electronics specialists LASONiC. Together the two develop a minimalist boombox which follows the simple aesthetics usually enforced by the uniform experiment brand. Keeping the branding element to a minimum, the boombox comes in a simple black colorway with silver accents and full iPod capabilities. The Throne: Kanye West & Jay- Z Announce Tour Dates

More news and confirmation surrounding Kanye West and Jay-Z’s highly anticipated collaborative project emerges. According to an official press release, the release date for the album has changed. Now, the LP will arrive on iTunes August 8 and will hit stores August 8th/12th. In order to grace this release properly, the duo – now known as The Throne – have announced tour dates for this fall. Tickets go on sale August 8, the same day the album is released exclusively on iTunes, whereas pre-sale will be available on Thursday here. In addition, Live Nation has an additional incentive for the live show: those who purchase tickets will also get a digital copy of the album, which retails for $11.99. See the dates below:
